Best graphics card for GTA 6

Without official requirements there is no "best" card yet, only levels. Here are the cards on sale now grouped by how far they sit above the PS5, which runs GTA 6 at 30 fps R source. No prices, because they change daily, and no frame rates, because nobody has measured one.

Check your current PC first

The card to aim for

The RX 9060 XT 16GB. It is the weakest current card in our list that clears our 30 % margin over the PS5 E source and has more video memory than the 8 GB on the cards GTA V Enhanced recommends. If the PC version turns out lighter than we expect, it leaves room; if heavier, it is the floor we would want. Waiting for Rockstar's requirements before buying costs nothing: the PC version is not out.

Twice the PS5 or more

Headroom for higher settings and frame rates than the console, if your processor keeps up.

Past our margin

At least 30 % ahead of the PS5: the margin we keep for a PC port.

Console class

Close to the PS5, without the margin. Fine if you are happy with console-like settings.

Video memory: why 8 GB is the floor, not the target

GTA V Enhanced recommends cards with 8 GB. In Tom's Hardware's 1440p ultra tests, the resolution the PS5 renders GTA 6 at, the RTX 5060 Ti 8GB scores 143 on our scale and the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB 153: same chip, less memory. When two versions of a card exist, take the one with more.
