Can the RX 9060 XT 8GB run GTA 6?
Compared with the PS5, which runs GTA 6 at 30 fps, the RX 9060 XT 8GB is above it: it scores 130 where the PS5's graphics, matched by the Radeon RX 6700, score 100. In numbers that is 92 % of the PS5 Pro, 111 % of the Xbox Series X, 333 % of the Xbox Series S. The figure comes from Tom's Hardware's 1440p ultra results, the resolution the PS5 renders GTA 6 at. That clears the 30 % lead we ask for before calling a part above the console, the margin we keep for the extra cost of a PC port.
The RX 9060 XT 8GB has 8 GB of video memory. Red Dead Redemption 2 recommended cards with 4 GB and GTA V Enhanced cards with 8 GB, so it meets the newer of the two, though 8 GB cards lose ground at high settings: in Tom's Hardware's 1440p ultra tests the RTX 5060 Ti 8GB scores 143 against 153 for the version with twice the memory. Rockstar has not said what GTA 6 asks for; the PS5 shares 16 GB GDDR6 between its processor and graphics.

Cards around the RX 9060 XT 8GB
Around it, one step down in our list is the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB, at 127, and one step up is the RTX 2080 Ti, at 130. The RX 9060 XT 8GB already clears our margin, so an upgrade buys headroom for higher settings, not a guarantee of a frame rate.
What changes when Rockstar publishes PC specs
Rockstar has published no PC requirements. GamesBeat reports a PC release in Q1 2027. When the official minimum and recommended specs appear, this page will compare the RX 9060 XT 8GB with them directly and move the console comparison below. After the release, measured frame rates from named benchmarks replace any guess: we will not estimate one for this card.
RX 9060 XT 8GB and GTA 6: questions
Can the RX 9060 XT 8GB run GTA 6?
It is above the PS5: 130 against the console's 100, and the PS5 runs GTA 6 at 30 fps. Rockstar has published no PC requirements and nobody has measured the PC version, so no one can promise a frame rate for it yet.
How does the RX 9060 XT 8GB compare with the PS5 and Xbox?
It scores 130 where the PS5 scores 100: 92 % of the PS5 Pro, 111 % of the Xbox Series X, 333 % of the Xbox Series S. The Xbox and PS5 Pro figures are our estimates from their specs and Digital Foundry's tests.
Is 8 GB of video memory enough for GTA 6?
It matches or beats the 8 GB on the cards GTA V Enhanced recommends, the newest Rockstar PC spec. GTA 6's own figure arrives with its requirements.
Will the RX 9060 XT 8GB get 60 fps in GTA 6?
Nobody has measured it. Digital Foundry expects 60 fps on PC to need a high-end processor, such as a recent Ryzen X3D, so your processor decides as much as this card. Check both in the checker.
