Can your PC run GTA 6?

Rockstar has not announced a PC version, so nobody can tell you your frame rate yet C source. What we can tell you is how your PC compares with the PS5, which runs GTA 6 at 30 fps R source and renders it at native 1440p, upscaled to 4K R.

How we compare your PC

Every graphics card and processor sits on one scale where the PS5 scores 100. For the graphics the stand-in is the Radeon RX 6700 (10 GB) R source, for the processor the AMD 4700S desktop kit R source. Your PC gets the level of its weaker part, because Digital Foundry expects GTA 6 to lean on the processor.

  1. Below the PS5

    Under 85 on the scale

More than 15 % short of the console.

  2. Close to the PS5

    85 to 129

Console class: within reach of the PS5, or ahead of it by less than our port margin.

  3. Above the PS5

    130 and up

At least 30 % ahead: the margin we keep for the extra cost of a PC port.

Both lines are our working assumptions E source. RAM, video memory and your drive add warnings against Rockstar's last two PC releases. The full method, with every conversion, is on the methodology page.

GTA 6 on PC: short answers

When is GTA 6 coming to PC?

Rockstar has not announced a date. GamesBeat reported a PC release in Q1 2027 (January to March), citing four anonymous sources; Rockstar did not comment. For scale, GTA V reached PC 19 months after the consoles and Red Dead Redemption 2 12 months after.

What are the GTA 6 PC system requirements?

Rockstar has published none, so any list you see now is a guess. Its last two PC releases are the best guide: Red Dead Redemption 2 recommended a GeForce GTX 1060 6GB and 12 GB of RAM, GTA V Enhanced a GeForce RTX 3060 8GB and 16 GB.

What we know about the requirements

What frame rate will GTA 6 get on my PC?

Nobody knows, because nobody has run GTA 6 on PC. Any fps figure for a graphics card today is made up, so this site shows none. The consoles run it at 30 fps, and Digital Foundry expects 60 fps on PC to need a high-end processor, such as a recent Ryzen X3D.

Why we show no fps figures

What PC parts are equal to a PS5?

For the graphics, the Radeon RX 6700: Digital Foundry calls its specs extremely close to the PS5 and compared the two at matched settings. For the processor, the AMD 4700S, which Tom's Hardware concluded is a PS5 chip with its graphics turned off. Both are the zero points of our scale.

Will GTA 6 run on the Steam Deck or ROG Ally?

Nobody knows until the PC version exists, but the graphics are far from the PS5's: the Steam Deck scores 16 and the Radeon 780M in the ROG Ally and Legion Go 25 on a scale where the console is 100. Expect, at best, much lower settings and resolution than on the console.
