Can the Iris Xe Graphics run GTA 6?
Compared with the PS5, which runs GTA 6 at 30 fps, the Iris Xe Graphics is below it: it scores 14 where the PS5's graphics, matched by the Radeon RX 6700, score 100. In numbers that is 10 % of the PS5 Pro, 12 % of the Xbox Series X, 36 % of the Xbox Series S. The figure is our conversion of Notebookcheck's 3DMark Time Spy average onto the same scale, so treat it as an estimate. That is more than 15 % short of the console, so if the PC version asks for console-class graphics, this chip would need lower settings than the PS5 uses.
The Iris Xe Graphics has no video memory of its own: it borrows from the system RAM, which leaves less for the game itself. For comparison, Red Dead Redemption 2 recommended cards with 4 GB and GTA V Enhanced cards with 8 GB. A laptop with this chip shares its RAM the same way, so more RAM helps it more than it helps a dedicated card.
